Troubleshooting • Changing Screen resolution

With my screen at the present resolution the text is way too small and I have to use cntrl+shift ++ all the time to make it where it is readable. I did change text size for the desktop to size 27 but that doesn't help the command line. I tried the following command xrandr --fb 1920x1080 and the result was:
xrandr --fb 1920x1080
xrandr: specified screen 1920x1080 not large enough for output XWAYLAND0 (3840x2160+0+0)

It did this no matter which of the following I picked with the exception of the present resolution for my hi def 24" monitor (3840x2160)
Here is an xrandr list of settings:

Screen 0: minimum 16 x 16, current 3840 x 2160, maximum 32767 x 32767
