So i recently received an RPI5 from a friend of mine since he couldnt get it to work. Why i try to start the Pi (through the usb-c port with the official 27W charger) i just see the led switch to green for two second and then back to red until i unplug it.
However if i power it through the GPIO (I know not safe) everyhting works fine.
I dont see any visual damage or anything heating up excessively when i try to use the usb-c port. Im guessing something is wrong with the circuit but dont know exactly what or where to begin. I dont want to use the GPIO's further and would rather fix the issue or get something like a POE hat and power the Pi through that. If anyone has some ideas im all ears. Cheers!
Things i have also tried:
-Different sd card/ Reflashing the software
-Different power supply + cable
