HATs and other add-ons • Daisy chain multiple QR code scanners using SparkFun Qwiic pHAT v2.0

I'm laying out a new project where I want to have 6+ QR code scanners active to recognize various components in an assembly. The user will be able to mix and match components in the assembly and the program will read the components by a micro QR code sticker on each component when it is put into place.

For example, the assembly has 6+ slots.
Slot 1 could have component A, B, or C installed in the same slot.
Slot 2 could have component C, D, or E
and so on for 6+ slots.
Each component has a unique QR code linking it to a database of information.

On the SparkFun Qwiic pHAT v2.0 for Raspberry Pi - STEMMA QT / Qwiic (https://www.sparkfun.com/sparkfun-qwiic ... ry-pi.html), I see four input slots, but have read that the Qwicc system allows for sensors to be daisy chained with different addresses. I'm planning on using this reader (https://www.sparkfun.com/useful-sensors ... eader.html)

I'm trying to make sure this system will work before I buy all of these components. Does anyone know whether my setup would work and whether, with only 4 ports on the pHat, I could hook up 6+ sensors?
