Hi everyone,
Let me provide some quick details first. Im using the latest Bullseye with Desktop OS on a RPi Zero W and the camera attached is the official RPi Camera v3 IMX 708.
When i list the camera with command:
Result:
Available cameras
-----------------
0 : imx708 [4608x2592] (/base/soc/i2c0mux/i2c@1/imx708@1a)
Modes: 'SRGGB10_CSI2P' : 1536x864 [120.13 fps - (768, 432)/3072x1728 crop]
2304x1296 [56.03 fps - (0, 0)/4608x2592 crop]
4608x2592 [14.35 fps - (0, 0)/4608x2592 crop]
I can also take pictures with
However when i try to keep the preview screen open and i pan the camera around the room, the preview screen isnt showing the change in what the camera sees. Instead the screen preview switches back and forth between a black screen and a same single frame the camera was pointed at (most likely what it saw just after running libcamera-hello). Why is it doing that?
I've also tried disconnecting the CSI cable and reconnecting it. The cable appears a little bent but even the bend isnt alll the way flat.
What can i do to find out what is going on?
Also did install MotionEye software (not the OS) on it, so could that be causing this problem?
