Other projects • Powering an arcade style cabinet from a single UK plug

Pardon my less than novice level of knowledge on this, I’m just getting into the world of Raspberry Pi so this post may contain stupid questions.

I’m looking for a way to have a single cable from a UK plug that goes into the back of an arcade machine style cabinet that allows me to power the following at the same time:

- A Pi 5 with 2x arcade buttons attached via GPIO.
- Official Pi 15.6” monitor (at 100% brightness and 100% volume).
- Possibly an LED strip which will be on when the Pi is running.

The Pi 5 will primarily be playing HD video while running if that matters.

I could obviously have 2 power supplys plugged in and running into the back of the cabinet, but I’m essentially trying to reduce this to only one, just not sure how best to do this safely and simply.

I would also be looking at having the Pi, screen and LED wake from standby on press of one of the arcade buttons, but that level of complexity might have to wait for further down the line as I build more experience, if that’s even possible.
