Hi everyone,
I’m having trouble getting my Raspberry Pi 4 to boot from an SSD. Here’s my setup:
•I’m using a Patriot 128GB M.2 SSD.
•I’m powering the SSD through a USB hub connected to the Pi.
When I try to boot, the only thing I see is the “Welcome to Raspberry Pi Desktop” screen, and it appears in a sort of split-screen format. It doesn’t proceed further.
I’ve already tried the following:
1.Ensuring the bootloader is updated (with the USB Boot image from Pi imager).
2.Formatting and flashing the SSD with Raspberry Pi OS 64 full using Raspberry Pi Imager.
3.Checking all cables and connections to make sure they’re secure.
Does anyone know what might be causing this issue? Could it be a problem with the configuration, the adapter, or something else? Any suggestions or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
