I am trying to make a game that basically depends on detecting contact between the ball and paddles. The thing Initially, I considered using FSRs for this purpose. However, I realized that these sensors are quite small compared to the dimensions of the paddle, creating doubts about their effectiveness for this purpose. As I only need to simply sense the contact, I'm now thinking to use piezoelectric sensors that may help with detecting some vibrations on the paddle when the ball hits.
I'm now seeking advice on which sensor would be most suitable for this application and if there are any other alternatives worth considering.
