General discussion • Installing Audacity is not working - what am I doing wrong?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to using raspberry Pi and linux in general. I am trying to install the software audacity, but it doesn't seem to be working. Here's what I do:

Go to: Prefrences > Add / Remove Software

Search for Audacity

I click the checkbox for 'fast cross platform audio editor' which is the first result

I click apply and enter my password

I get a message saying packages are being installed

Click ok

I see another message saying packages are being installed

But then I still cannot see audacity in the 'Sound and Video' section

Any help would be much appreciated
