Hey everyone, I recently upgraded to a Pi5 and discovered that it doesn't have a 3.5mm audio jack.
I had one of these BLE audio modules lying around and thought I could use it to replace the missing jack.
After a fresh bookworm install, I tried to connect to it via bluetoothctl, I got the error "br-connection-profile-unavailable".
A forum post suggested to install pipewire and after a reboot the BLE connect worked and I was able to play sound via ffmplay.
The problem started when I closed the terminal window to the Pi5.
The BLE module played it's "Bluetooth switching off" sample and no sound could be played by Node-RED anymore.
I'm using my Pi5 as server for home automation and an exec node in Node-RED to call ffmplay in the background to play various alarm/info sounds.
Any ideas what I could do to resolve this?
