Automation, sensing and robotics • Controlling CNC-type pick and place manuipulator using PyCNC

Hi,
As you can tell by the title of this discussion I need to control a pick and place manipulator using Raspberry Pi. Manipulator was controlled by Arduino Mega, with RAMPS v.1.3 and four A4988 stepper motor drivers. The stepper motors that I am talking about are NEMA17.

You can see it working here:

I did a little bit of research and found this page that could help me and I´d like to do it accordingly to it:

As of right now, I am not really keen on connecting my RPi 4 directly to RAMPS because of different voltages used to control RPi and RAMPS.

I think, programming wise, i should be able to do it. It is the hardware that is giving me a headache.
Another thing is that the autor is using RPi 3 and I am not really sure if it will work with my RPi 4.

Do you gyus have any ideas of how could I make this work?

Thank You!
