I have an almost new Pi 5, which I've made inoperative by playing too hard with Linux commands. The 5 came with the OS pre-installed, so there's no microSD card in the machine.
I've just ordered an "Official Raspberry Pi microSD Card." Am I right in thinking that I can simply mount that card in the 5's microSD slot to begin the install process? Will that rewrite/overwrite the pre-installed OS?
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
