Troubleshooting • Rpi5 - Solid red light, no booting

Hello,

In the context of a robotic project, we recently purchased a Raspberry Pi 5.
This one worked fine for about a month, althought it sometimes turned to a red led in mid utilisation (due to a non-sufficient powering source? We power the board through a 12V to 5V buck, limited to 4A, and directly through the dedicated GPIO pins).

Our solution then was to simply power off, power on our robot and simply reconnect.

However, a few days ago, while we were connected to the Rpi, it suddenly turned red again and the on/off trick didn't work anymore. No changes in the way it was powered up.

We tried everything: the official powering cable, the buck out of the robot, and rebooting it with, without SD card or with USB stick. It doesn't even blink with green to indicate any error messages, just shows a solid red led. Nothing on connected screen to the micro-HDMI port. Measurements are indicating 0.003A taken by the Rpi.

Anyone to help us about this?
