I downloaded the "processing-4.3-linux-arm64.tgz" to my Pi 400, running bookWorm.
I managed to uncompress it and run a lot of the examples. I noticed that if the window was too big then I get a message to the effect of "nothing to do with us gov, it was your OS what did it."
But it all managed to work.
The problem came when I wanted to save something, the window for the save box was enormous, and did not even show the save button at the bottom, so a bit useless. I also installed some contributed libraries and they were added fine.
However, when I added a USB to MIDI lead, this showed up in the list of input and output devices, but when trying to use the index to define a bus with these, I got a null pointer exception.
I did try some tricks to get "theMidiBus" library to work from the processing forum but nothing would work.
Do I have to get a Raspberry Pi 5, or is there a chance that a Pi 4 might work with a later release?
Thanks for reading.
