Raspberry Pi OS • pcmanfm and cascading menus

I would like to use pcmanfm's ability to manage context menus. In ~/.local/share/file-manager/actions I have a desktop file Switcher.desktop

Code:

 [Desktop Entry]Type=MenuName=Switch toIcon=PitopItemsList=1-GoTo;2-GoTo;3-GoTo;4-GoTo;
and four desktop files 1-GoTo.desktop

Code:

[Desktop Entry]Type=ActionProfiles=GoToDesktop1Name=Desktop 1Icon=one_colored [X-Action-Profile GoToDesktop1]MimeTypes=inode/directoryExec=GoToDesktop1``
2-GoTo.desktop, 3-GoTo.desktop, and 4-GoTo.desktop. When I right click on the desktop (or in a filemanager window) I get a context menu with a cascading submenu.

However the text "Switch to" doesn't appear, although all the other text is there, including in the submenu. I tried all the suggestions, e.g., restart, cold boot, change fonts, I found by Googling but to no avail. Has anyone else had success with pcmanfm's cascading submenus on a Pi? I've tried this both on a Bookworm install and now on a clean install of Trixie.
