Hello,

I want chrony to use the RTC from the Pi5, but the following error appears:

Code:

Sep 14 21:32:15 chronospire systemd[1]: Starting chrony.service - chrony, an NTP client/server...Sep 14 21:32:15 chronospire chronyd[1820]: chronyd version 4.6.1 starting (+CMDMON +NTP +REFCLOCK +RTC +PRIVDROP +SCFILTER +SIGND +ASYNCDNS +NTS +SECHASH +IPV6 -DEBUG)Sep 14 21:32:15 chronospire chronyd[1820]: Could not enable RTC interrupt : Invalid argumentSep 14 21:32:15 chronospire chronyd[1820]: RTC driver could not be initialisedSep 14 21:32:15 chronospire chronyd[1820]: Loaded 0 symmetric keysSep 14 21:32:15 chronospire chronyd[1820]: Timezone right/UTC failed leap second check, ignoringSep 14 21:32:15 chronospire chronyd[1820]: Frequency -7.283 +/- 0.651 ppm read from /var/lib/chrony/chrony.driftSep 14 21:32:15 chronospire chronyd[1820]: Loaded server NTS keysSep 14 21:32:15 chronospire chronyd[1820]: Loaded seccomp filter (level 1)Sep 14 21:32:15 chronospire systemd[1]: Started chrony.service - chrony, an NTP client/server.
When I try to adjust the RTC to the system time, the following appears:

Code:

$ sudo chronyc -N trimrtc513 RTC driver not running
The following is my chrony configuration file:

Code:

$ cat /etc/chrony/chrony.conf confdir /etc/chrony/conf.dsourcedir /etc/chrony/sources.dntsdumpdir /var/lib/chronylogdir /var/log/chronykeyfile /etc/chrony/chrony.keysdriftfile /var/lib/chrony/chrony.driftpool pool.ntp.org iburstpool time.cloudflare.com iburst ntspool ptbtime1.ptb.de iburst nts preferpool ptbtime2.ptb.de iburst nts preferpool ptbtime3.ptb.de iburst nts preferpool ptbtime4.ptb.de iburst nts preferpool ntppool1.time.nl iburst ntspool ntppool2.time.nl iburst ntsminsources 2maxupdateskew 100.0rtcautotrim 3600rtcfile /var/lib/chrony/rtcmakestep 1 3leapsectz right/UTCallow 127.0.0.1/8allow ::1/128allow 172.20.0.0/14allow 172.31.0.0/16allow 10.0.0.0/8allow 100.64.0.0/10allow fd00::/8ntsserverkey /etc/chrony/tls/chronospire.uaru-vimba.ts.net/privkey.pemntsservercert /etc/chrony/tls/chronospire.uaru-vimba.ts.net/fullchain.pem
Is there a trick you have to use or an option for activating the RTC for chrony?
