I mainly use FreeBSD with my Pi 5. This doesn't work well - lots of things unsupported. One of those is the fan control, It used to run at 100% all of the time. Now it doesn't run at all (since a month ago or so). I suspected an issue with the fan so I got a replacement. No change.
Now I'm wondering if it was a firmware update that caused the 'problem'. I see that the 1712 version is dated 8 May, which sounds about right.
Is there a way to downgrade to the 1711 firmware?
