I have been working with a specific usb touchscreen (Mimo Monitor Touch 2) for almost a decade now and we have been experiencing issues with newer releases of the Raspberry OS.
The last know working distro that we have been able to use was Jessie/Stretch. I needed to specifically create a calibration config file to have the device load correctly for the display and touch input to work. With newer releases of the OS, the touchscreen is no longer functioning as a touchscreen input (/dev/input/eventX) but is now being loaded in as a mouse/pointer (/dev/input/mouseX).
This has changed the functionality of the touchscreen to act more as a trackpad/mouse instead of a tablet/touchscreen where the touch would register as a mouse click input.
I have gone tried testing on Buster/Bullseye/Bookworm to try and change the device to be initialized as a tablet/touchscreen input but have not been able to resolve the issue.
Any help would be appreciated.
