I've been setting up a Pi 4 with Bookworm and installed Anthias screen display software on it for use at work. I configured it at home, and added my own wifi connection details.
Of course, when I took it to work, it was looking for the wrong wifi access point. Because it's booting into Anthias, and failing to get a network conneciton, I've seemingly got no way of changing the wifi setup on the running system.
Now I'm back home, I've got the SD card with me.
In the past, I would have edited wpa_supplicant to change the wifi access point. But now with Network Manager, it doesn't use that file.
I've found a file called preconfigured.nmconnection in /etc/NetworkManaher/system-connections and indeed there is an entry there for "SSID=(name of my wifi network)". But not cleartext password I can change.
Is it possible to edit this file to change to the wifi access point we use at work, and if so, how or where do I enter the access password for that wifi network?
The documentation on the Raspberry Pi Website says : "You can manually edit your connection configurations in the /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/ directory." but doesn't go into any further detail as to what to change.
Most web searches tell me to edit wpa_supplicant or tell me to use nmcli , which I can't because I'm not on the running system - I want to edit the SD card.
Can anyone help
thanks
