Is there any way to switch the HDMI or DSI display output to grayscale only on the Rpi5? Doing some reading indicates that desaturating all the colors/setting gamma will create a grayscale display output, but so far I've been unsuccessful in getting anything to work. My understanding is xrandr would work for X, but won't work in this case because I'm using Raspi OS Bookworm which uses Wayland. I would rather not use X on Bookworm because it is being phased out. Besides using a monitor that supports DDC/CI like this project https://github.com/bubbleguuum/toggle-monitor-grayscale mentions what are ways to achieve this? I would like solutions that do not rely on a specific monitor that supports DDC/CI so any monitor could be plugged in and get a grayscale output from the pi.
