Media centres • TVheadend on Rpi 5 Bookworm

I am trying get Kodi / TVheadend working on Rpi5 Bookworm (64) bit.

Kodi side is functioning fine.

TVHeadend runs OK but DVBT USB sticks are not stable on my system. They start off OK and I can scan and set up networks, muxes, channels etc. Status shows decent Signal strength and SNR but, after a time (typically 15 minutes or so), The sticks show a status of Unknown. Restarting the TVHeadend service restores the status to normal but they again drop out after a short time.

I have tried three different types of USB DVBT sticks (different chip sets) which all work fine on an OSMC Raspberry Pi 4 OSMC (64 bit). All drop out same way on the RPi 5. I have also tried using a powered hub in case there was any power issues but didn't make any difference.

I thought I would try building the latest TVHeadend rather than the repository based one which is a couple of versions behind. Running the Autobuild script for bookworm version gives me NO Compiler found error. Gcc is installed OK (build-env) Digging into the build script it looks like it may be looking for cc as the executable.

Any help or thoughts on either the drop out problem or how to successfully build TVHeadend would be welcome.
