I have successfully written a driver based on an existing driver available from mainline Linux / raspberry pi kernel source tree. Would check with the manufacturer and see if they are keen to have that to share in mainline Linux and / or Raspberry Pi kernel source tree. Is there any guidelines to do so? It’s a fairly modern 4-lane DSI AMOLED panel that one can purchase in small quantity off alibaba.
Still have to implement a few features such as brightness control, the touch control and higher refresh rates. But at the moment the panel is fully functional with its specs of 1920x1080px 60hz refresh rate.
