Should a brand new Pi Pico 2w blink when power is applied or when plugged into USB?
I just received my first Pi. I think its dead (DOA). It is a Pi Pico 2W and it shows no sign of life when I Plug it into my computer with the provided micro USB cord. I have also tried providing power to this Pico 2w with the Desk Pi "Pico mate" board with the provided 3AA battery pack and inserting it into the slot.
I see no lights or acknowledgement from the computer when I connect it to USB. I have used the method in the documentation. hold boot select button and connect then release the onboard boot select button. I also tried just plugging it in and watching for any signs of life like led light illumination. just nothing happens.
I have also tried holding the bootsel button plugging it into USB then waiting for a 5 sec count then releasing BS button with no delta.
Just for troubleshooting, The same computer will acknowledge insert of an Arduino in the USB systems list and the Arduino blinks its lights.
