Advanced users • Powering CM5 - custom carrier board?

I've got my CM5 up and running with the CM5 I/O Carrier board and I can ssh into it. However, I need a MUCH smaller footprint and need help.

I see I need to connect with the hundred pin Hirose DF40C-100DS-0.4V(51) on the back if only to provide power. I see some of you are doing custom carrier boards. Are there other solutions?

This is just experimentation right now so looking for cheap solutions to try. Ideally, I need something as small as the CM5 or at least not wider.
