Camera board • Can't Connect 5MP OV5647 Camera to Raspberry Pi 4B

Hello everyone,

I’m facing a frustrating issue with connecting my 5MP OV5647 camera module https://www.amazon.com/Raspberry-Camera ... B0748KF97S to my Raspberry Pi 4B. I’ve tried following numerous tutorials, videos, and guides online, but none of them have helped resolve the problem.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
Verified the hardware connections multiple times to ensure the ribbon cable is properly connected to the CSI port.
Installed different Raspberry Pi OS versions, including Bullseye and Bookworm, and even tried the Legacy version, but nothing worked.
Suspected a driver issue and looked for tutorials or GitHub repositories for a custom driver, but couldn't get it to work.

It seems like the problem could either be an OS compatibility issue or a missing/incorrect driver for the OV5647 camera. I’m aware that Raspberry Pi has switched to `libcamera` after Bullseye, and I’m not sure if the OV5647 is fully supported with the latest OS versions.

Could anyone guide me on the following:
- Is the OV5647 camera still supported with the latest Raspberry Pi OS?
- Do I need to install a specific driver for it, and if so, how?
- Is there a recommended OS version or setup process to make the OV5647 camera work?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your support!
