I liked the Fractal Designs case for the RPi so I designed and printed a new front insert for it. Instead of the three wood strips I've put in a 2.4" TFT screen that runs a bit of software to show various performance stats of the machine. The screen is touch enabled.
The STL file to print the insert as well as all the code and instructions for both hardware and software installation reside here: https://github.com/wwdaher/RPi_SPI_display.git.
There is also a .py file which includes the Python objects to draw the Textbox, Bar, Dial and Gauge charts which can be used independently of the project. The objects have been optimized to work on small screens. Documentation for use of the objects is also found there.
For some reason the image isn't appearing, but it can be found here: https://ibb.co/1TRCKXG
