Compute Module • Powering CM4 via 5V GPIO while on carrier board

I run a BTT Manta E3EZ for 3d printing, which includes a spot for a CM4.

While the printer is powered on, the CM4 receives +5V through the carrier board, however I would like to power the Pi while the rest of the system is powered off.
I was thinking of powering it through the GPIO pins that are broken out on the E3EZ, however I am not sure if it is safe to do so.

Does the CM4 include an internal diode that avoids backpowering the carrier board when a supply is connected to GPIO?
Adding a diode to my own 5V supply that would plug into GPIO would not be a problem.

There are schematics available for the E3EZ on github, however I am not experienced enough in the realm of electronics to know for sure, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
