I have had quite a lot of success running KDE on the Raspberry Pi 4 ($g) and 5(8G). However, when I ran an update recently, while running Wayland as is my standard go to with KDE, the mouse cursor sits unresponsive after the login screen. SSH access works fine and I can do a controlled shutdown or anything else that doesn't require GUI.
I'm not sure what logs I need to post for your consideration, but right now I can't use Wayland on my Pi 5. LXDE and LXDE-pi work fine with Wayland. I can boot into Plasma/X11 and that works fine, but Wayland is a no go for plasma presently. I don't want to discard KDE, I really love it.
I am sure that nothing on my system was changed prior to running the updates. One minute KDE works with Wayland, and one sudo update etc later boom.
I'm at a loss, any help appreciated.
