Networking and servers • VPN and ethernet passthrough...

Sorry I posted this on another topic before I saw the networking topic here. And apparently I am too much of a forum newbie to delete the other one.

I have a Pi 2B with a wifi dongle. The wifi is connected without problem.

What I am trying to do is have the wifi make a VPN connection somewhere, and then have any wired ethernet device that is plugged into the Pi's ethernet port get an IP from the remote VPN's network, as if it were connected to the remote network's LAN. Yes, these are my own networks, I'm not trying to do anything nefarious.

I think I have the VPN portion figured out, but I'm a little fuzzy on the "bridging" part of the built-in ethernet.

It's also highly likely I'm over complicating the whole thing.

Any words of wisdom?
