Troubleshooting • Can't get RPi 5 to recognize AI kit

I purchased the AI kit "hat" for the Raspberry Pi 5. I have followed the instructions in the following post:

https://www.raspberrypi.com/news/how-to ... erry-pi-5/

However, when I get to step 6, and run the following command,

Code:

hailortcli fw-control identify
...I get the following errors:

Code:

[HailoRT] [error] CHECK failed - Failed open /sys/class/hailo_chardev/hailo0/accelerator_type[HailoRT] [error] CHECK_SUCCESS failed with status=HAILO_DRIVER_FAIL(36)[HailoRT] [error] CHECK_SUCCESS failed with status=HAILO_DRIVER_FAIL(36) - Failed parsing device info for hailo0[HailoRT] [error] CHECK_SUCCESS failed with status=HAILO_DRIVER_FAIL(36)[HailoRT] [error] CHECK_SUCCESS failed with status=HAILO_DRIVER_FAIL(36)[HailoRT] [error] CHECK_SUCCESS failed with status=HAILO_DRIVER_FAIL(36)[HailoRT] [error] CHECK_SUCCESS failed with status=HAILO_DRIVER_FAIL(36)[HailoRT CLI] [error] CHECK_SUCCESS failed with status=HAILO_DRIVER_FAIL(36)
I've tried this on an older Pi 5 that I've been using (didn't work) and I even bought a brand new Pi 5 just for this reason and it behaves the same way. Does anyone know what could cause the errors above? I am having no luck on Google trying to figure this out.
