General discussion • 60k hdmi to 120hz p1080

Hi. I tried Raspberry pi desktop on my old Lenovo G510 i7 60hz 1366x768 screen. Thow I often get migraine on screens with 60hz, I went in to screen configuration and changed it to 1024x768 and then i have got 120hz marked instead of 60hz ! My screen is only 60hz screen so I think this couldn't be true, that I now have 120hz ! So I went into a website, where you can check your screens refresh rate and why screen configuration were checked 120hz, the screen were still 60hz. Question?
I want to buy a Raspberry pi 5 and a desktop screen with 144 hz.
Raspberry pi 5 have 60k hdmi.
Can I get 1080p 120hz with this configuration?
