Hey there!
I'm trying to create my own DIY tablet using an eink screen and a Raspberry Pi 4.
I've searched for screens and have found that waveshare sells them in different sizes and refresh rates. Now because I want it to work as a tablet I need the refresh rate <1s
The question is:
Why do I need a driver for? can't I just connect the eink to the display port on the raspberry pi? And why can I find one driver for 3 bucks and the one from WaveShare for 30?
Can someone explain why do I need this driver?
Thanks!
