Hello,
I have been using Mosquitto and paho-MQTT for some years but of late I keep getting intermittent issues. Normally they seem to cure themselves but on this occasion not so.
I have three Pi's 1) is a Pi 3A and it collects data in one part of the house; 2) a "relay" Pi 4B which also collects its own data and receives the data from the Pi3A. Once every 10 minutes the "relay" Pi4B sends all of the data to a server also a Pi 4B which stores things on a Maria database. I can access the server from outside the wifi network and view graphs of the data. The communication is by way of Mosquitto/paho-MQTT and normally works without a problem.
I have checked all of the IPs and they are static. I have checked and all of the Pi's are listening on 1883.
At the moment I'm not able to ping the "relay" 4B from the Pi3A or vice versa.
I noticed when checking the IP addresses that the " relay" 4B is using the 5.0ghz band and the 3A is using the 2.4 band. Is this a problem? If so it must have recently changed to cause the issue. Can I force them back to one or the other?
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks
