I used an installation of Ubuntu Server on the SD card to install Ubuntu Server on my NVME drive, but when I reboot it is still booting with the SD card's installation. I tried setting BOOT_ORDER=0xf6 using rpi-eeprom-config to entirely remove the SD card from the boot order, but it still boots with the SD card when it is inserted. If I remove the SD card, it happily boots with the NVME drive, but after reinserting the SD card it will always boot from SD, despite it not even being in the BOOT_ORDER config.
Is there something I am missing here? I would like to keep the SD card in my Raspberry Pi for backup storage, but I don't want it attempting to boot from it while it is inserted.
