Raspberry Pi OS • Having trouble getting a Serial Attached SCSI controller: Broadcom / LSI SAS2008 PCI-Express Fusion-MPT SAS-2 [Falcon]

I have built a NAS with a PI5. I am using pineboards to give me a PCI 4x open end PCI slot.

The card that I have purchased is a LSI SAS SATA IT Mode 9200-8I 6G/s 8 Ports RAID Controller Card 2*SFF-8087 SATA

I have built the kernel multiple times and made the process work. I am just confused about why I can't get it to work.
