i'm having an issue where when i plug in an external HDD (1TB 2.5") SHH and nextcloud stops(apache too maybe) working.
the HDD has it's on power source so it's not draining too much from the pi, and the adapter works with the raspberry (tried without drive and some reviews say that it works with the pi)
initially the drive was NTFS, then i formatted to ext4, but nothing changed
for a 20 minutes like, it worked (after unplugging and replugging in the drive), then it stopped again.
it stops instantly when i plug in the drive and it (the raspberry) restarts to work the moment i unplug the drive.
i looked at the log and i can see that it mounts the drive, but then there are no logs until i unplug the drive.
can someone help me on this one?
i'm new to the raspberry.
the rapsberry i'm using is a raspberry pi 4B with case, fan and heatsinks and i plan to use it as home server with storage and torrent client
